Lexmark E232 Driver
Lexmark LaserJet E232 printer won’t print?
I downloaded the drivers from the Lexmark website because we misplaced the installation CD. However, even after successful completion of the download, for some reason, it won’t print. I’ve triple checked all the connections. It’s properly connected and plugged in. The blue power light is on, but it still won’t print. Is there something else I needed to download?
Was the printer hooked up while you installed the driver?
If the answer is yes then that is your problem.
Install the driver (with the printer unhooked)
Restart the computer
Download the driver again from the Lexmark website. Connect the printer only when instructed to during the installation process.
When you have the printer hooked up, windows installs a default driver which rarely works. You need to have the printer disconnected for the majority of the installation.

How do I share a printer on my wireless network?
The Lexmark Printer is connected via USB to an HP Pavilion Desktop (512w) and over my wireless network to a Dell Latitude Notebook (D600). It prints fine from my Desktop, but on the Dell I get an error stating that the proper driver is not installed. I have installed all available drivers on both my desktop and laptop, however. My HP Desktop is running on Windows XP Home SP2, and my notebook pc is running on Windows XP Pro SP2.

The printer is shared.
I have tried adding the printer on my dell which was when I got the driver error.
I can see and access all shared files and connect remotely to the desktop from my Dell.
No, I won’t upgrade to XP Pro on my desktop. I don’t think it’s really worth it and I’m waiting for Vista to come out in December.
I have something that you can try, I use a print server that I bought from (Insert computer store here). It cost me 40 bucks (I had to get one with LPT ports) i saw usb ones for as low as $20. That would be the easiest way. You would be able to bypass the driver error, as well as the need to have 2 computers on if you want to print. They also come in wireless print server models (If you want to have a router and a printer in another room).
