Spooler Subsystem App message
Have HP Laserjet 1020 printer (also a left over icon for Lexmark which long ago stopped using). Today this Spooler message started plaguing me.
Have tried to solve this myself with advice from Microsoft website and others but advice is to go to Services and disable LexBce server.
Have uninstalled Lexmark. When I go to Services and disable LexBce and try to start up the Print Spooler, it says it can’t open it because Print Spooler is reliant on LexBce, so I go round and round in a circle. Am not on a network.
I can see next advice it to go to Registry and edit, but am not confident to do this. ANY ADVICE PLEASE? It’s obviously a common problem.
I went into registry and followed step by step instructions but the key wasn’t exactly as described so didn’t do anything.
Try disconnecting the printer and going back to an earlier system restore point before the printer was installed. Now install the printer from new (make sure software is installed before you connect the printer). I have done the above successfully with many different printers http://www.trilogicuk.co.uk

Refillable Lexmark Cartridges
Has anyone tried Walgreen’s refilled ink cartridges for computer printers??
I have a Lexmark printer and it gets expensive buying the Lexmark ink all the time. I was looking into the refillable cartridges from Walgreen’s. Has anyone had any experience with this?
I have a lexmark printer too. My mom takes me to walgreens to get my printer’s ink cartidges refilled and I always get them refillled there and it’s cheaper and they work just like new!!! Hope I could help!

Laser vs. Inkjet Copier?
I’ve been on the hunt for an all-in-one to replace my office’s current HP (slow as hell, error-ific) 7210. I have done just about as much research as I can stand at this point and have narrowed it down to a 639 dollar Lexmark x502n and a 250 dollar Cannon PIXMA MP830. Besides the obvious difference being the hundreds of dollars more for the Lexmark, one is also a laser, and the other an inkjet. I’ve been thinking I need a laser because speed copying is what we are most interested in, though I’m not as familiar with lasers and worry about the initial cost combined with the cost of toner cartridges. The main uses of this machine will be for copying and faxing. It most likely won’t be connected to any pc and will not likely be printing photos. We copy pictures out of books and copy documents. Laser or Inkjet? Which will benefit me longterm.
Laser printers generally produce much better quality print. The initial cost is, as you have pointed out much higher. The cost per page on the other hand, tends to be significantly lower with a laser printer.
You will probably never use the printer enough to make up for the cost difference.
Also, know that most color laser printers print tracking codes on all of your paper, and this CANNOT be turned off. IMHO, this is the best reason to use an inkjet printer. http://www.eff.org/Privacy/printers/wp.php
