Writeup On The Lexmark X560 Printer

In recent years multifunction office machines have replaced several office machines. These machines allow one device to do the work formerly performed by a fax machine, copier, scanner and computer printer. By combining the multiple functions with the speed of a laser printing device the machine is able to serve several computers used by a medium work group without employees continually waiting for their prints. The Lexmark X560 printer is one such multifunction device with Lexmark LaserJet X560 toner.

Lexmark has included connectivity that should make setup of this machine simple in most office situations. Interfaces include two USB2 ports, one parallel port and one network port. The machine is designed for use with both PC and Mac systems with use of replacement toner. The included 384 MB memory is expandable.

If looking for speedy prints, this device fits the bill. It produces 600 dpi prints at the rate of 31 ppm. Even switching to color prints only slows the machine to an extraordinarily 20 ppm. Generally other devices cannot match these speeds. In addition, faxes are sent at the normal 33.6 Kbps rate. Faxes can be stored in the onboard memory that is also expandable. The memory also allows for speed dial of favorite fax numbers.

Several different media types can be accepted by this machine. In addition to plain paper (both legal and letter size) the device prints transparencies and labels. Envelopes and card stock do not present difficulties for the device. The paper tray can hold up to 400 pages while the feeder offers a capacity of fifty sheets. Documents can be enlarged to 400 percent or reduced to 25 percent.

Laser printers offer an excellent way to save on the cost of consumables. By using toner instead of ink, the machine saves the user money on each print made. With this particular device a black toner cartridge will produce 10,000 prints and color toner cartridges produce 4,000 prints. The machine reduces both labor cost and the cost of consumable products.

If printing documents that require a higher quality of print, the machine offers a 2400 dpi quality in both color and black and white. This setting is high enough to produce photographs of highest quality as well as advertising brochures. In other instances, the 600 dpi setting is sufficient for documents used in house or sent in the mail. Use of the lower setting offers a savings in time as well as toner.

Machine setup is simple, especially for users of PC systems. With the Mac systems, several users report difficulty in setup, especially for scanning. Even help from tech support failed in some instances with the Mac system. On the other hand, with PC systems, the printer is a plug and play device and should install quickly and easily.

When time to upgrade the office machines, the Lexmark X560 printer with Lexmark Laser X560 cartridge, offers several good features for the medium work group. Prints are clear using replacement toner. Money is saved with the less expensive to operate laser printer and toner.
